Patio Peeps

These metal cartoons like to live next to your pool, on your front step, in your entryway or on your patio, though they're just as happy to take up residence in your living room where they can show off a variety of scarves, ties, earrings, bracelets and belts to match your decor. They are made mostly from mild steel and allowed to acquire a natural mottled patina. No two are exactly alike. Models shown are examples only. Commissioned Peeps will run $500 to $1500, plus shipping, depending on complexity.

Discipline is often a problem with steel dogs. They tend toward headstrong, as depicted here in the whimsical Wanda and the Weiner.

Wanda has a new home, now. There will never be another just like her, but she's likely to have a few similar friends

When Wanda gets home after her trying wiener walk, we can only hope she is met at the door by someone like Maurice. That's where he's stationed at our home, copper comb-over neatly slathered back, ready to do your bidding.

This is Garden Girl. She's hard to photograph because of the tilt of her head and her hat.

Garden girl needed something else. After several grueling seconds of thinking about it, I asked myself, "How about a garden?"

Detail of Garden Girl and friend.

Garden Girl was created using a stainless mesh for her body. This material, hand mounted with copper wire, generates an interesting interplay of light and shadows when dry, and becomes a thousand little lenses through which you'll see reflections of your yard when wet.

Garden Girl, or any of the Peeps, can become an indoor or outdoor tranquility fountain.
